How to Train Your Dragon

How to Train Your Dragon

This thrilling dragon(ish) adventure teaches kids a very important lesson: sometimes brain matters more than brawn. The story of “How to Train Your Dragon” takes place in a mythical world ruled by Vikings, where a tiny, young viking named Hiccup is struggling to train a dragon and so honor the tradition of his father and the many fathers before him. Once Hiccup finally captured a dragon for himself, instead of killing him, he became a friend with his dragon, named Toothless. What happens next? Does he kills his dragon anyway? Or he impacts the future of honoring the tradition of hunting dragons? Find that out yourselves.

Back to the Future

Back to the Future

While explaining your kids how is possible for one to travel in time is almost inevitable, “Back to the Future” is an entertainment for all generations. This 1985 classic can be described as a comedy, action, science-fiction or simply as a hilarious action movie with a science-fiction theme. It all begins when a teenager named Marty McFly is sent back in time to 1995, where he meets his about-to-become parents, who are still high school students. Marty did not only interrupt the early romance between his parents, but he also accidentally became his mother’s love interest and so threatened his existence. Along with his friend and scientist “Doc”, they realized that they have to travel back in 1985, but not everything goes according to their scheme.

Tangled

Tangled

If you are a huge Disney fan, you have probably watched “Tangled” after you finished watching all the classical fairytales for the third time, but if you’re just a Disney fan, you might have missed this 2010 masterpiece of Disney. “Tangled” is based on one of the most popular German fairy tales, “Rapunzel”, a story about a young princess who’s locked up in a tower not by her own will, but by her mother’s. One day, a young and handsome intruder invited her to get out of the tower and see the world, which turned out to be all that she needed to do so.

Toy Story 1, 2 & 3

Toy Story 1, 2 & 3

According to those whose hearts were deeply touched by “Toy Story”, this movie is one of the most amazing animated movies of all time. What if toys were living things but act lifeless only when we’re around? “Toy Story” explores a world such as this, featuring a 6-year-old boy named Andy and a group of toys, among which are his favorite cowboy doll Sheriff Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Rex the Dinosaur, Mr. Potato Head and Hamm the Piggy Bank. The challenges, adventures and threats this group of toys takes upon are nail-biting and breathtaking in each of the three movies released so far. “Toy Story 4” is coming in 2018.

Goonies

Goonies

Although this movie is as old as the “Back to the Future” (oh, another one), “Goonies” is an adventure movie that will surely give you a good laugh to all of you. When a group of adventurous kids try to save their homes from demolition, they accidentally find themselves living the adventures of their lives. The adventure includes finding an old map that leads to a pirate’s lost treasure and fighting (more like running away from) a variety of villains.

E. T. The Extra-Terrestrial

E. T. The Extra-Terrestrial

Many of the parents would probably now remember the first time they shed a tear for the cute extraterrestrial and it would be really selfish not to share this epic movie with your kids. “E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial” tells a story of a young and lonely boy named Elliot, who becomes a friend with an alien, which is accidentally stranded on the third rock from the sun (Earth). E. T. needed to be well-protected from the government, so it won’t be taken away for experiments and maybe torture, but also from Elliot’s mother. With the help of a few siblings, Elliot tries to keep his friend hidden from the world and also to send him home. Along the way, their friendship strengthens, which makes their departure uncertain.
